Kevin
Ramsey |
Established KDR Creative Software with intention of providing software and consulting services in the plant maintenance and manufacturing arenas. During 1986/87, Mr Ramsey secured a 10 month contract to provide consulting services in the US, Canada and Mexico, involving the relocation of his family to Silicon Valley, San Jose, California. While the major task during this time was to enhance/install/train the BBJ Plant Maintenance package, he was also frequently involved in Pre-sale demonstrations and consultation/training sessions of BBJ's 4GL product ? TODAY. One such demonstration involved representation by Mr. Ramsey of the TODAY product at a 4GL 'Shootout' in front of 300 delegates at the 1987 Southern Californian Regional HP User Group (SCRUG) conference in Pasadena, CA. Despite fierce competition from the likes of COGNOS Powerhouse and INFOCENTRE Speedware, Mr. Ramsey managed to attain a creditable Second placing. |
On his return from the US, Mr Ramsey became involved in the redevelopment of the Plant Maintenance Package into the TODAY 4GL and subsequent periods of installation/training/presale demonstrations of the new product in Canada, US, UK, New Zealand and Australia on computer hardware including VAX, PRIME, HP and assorted UNIX, XENIX and MS?DOS equipment. Mr Ramsey, in March 1991, Incorporated KDR Creative Software in order to establish a formal company structure to support the envisaged success of the FMMS product in terms of ongoing development, support and marketing. Leased Office premises in West Melbourne, Australia and embarked on a program of marketing FMMS and of employing staff to support this process. Persistence during harsh economic times have lead to the following results as at May, 1996:
